To set up your Speed Factory Dial Internet Service using Windows 98, please follow the instructions below:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook
  2. Click on tools, then accounts.
  3. In the new window, click on add - mail.
  4. The first prompt is your display name. This is the name that is displayed to others when they receive an email from you. When you've finished entering this, click next.
  5. This field is for your email address (user@speedfactory.net). If you would like a different reply-to address other than the one that you are using to check your email, enter it here. Otherwise enter your default Speed Facotry email. Click next when finished.
  6. Here is where you specify the mail servers. At the top it should read "My incoming mail server is a POP3 server." (that is the default selection). Both your incoming and outgoing mailservers will read
      Incoming Mail: pop3.speedfactory.net
      Outgoing Mail: smtp.speedfactory.net
When you have completed all the fields, click next.
  7. Your account name should already be entered here. If it is not, or it is incorrect, it's simply your email address "_______@speedfactory.net". Enter your password below that. Make sure "Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)" is not checked. Click next.
You've now setup your internet email account!
